Court orders new trial based on deficiency in reasons for judgement

Man was charged with Assault Cause Bodily Harm. At the trial, neither the complainant nor the accused were believed. The man was convicted on the basis of two witnesses.

[43]        This is not, in my view, a case of an unreasonable verdict, but it is one where the deficiency in the Reasons for Judgment amounts to an error of law justifying a new trial, which I so order.
